Year 3/4 Mixed Tennis

Well done to our year 3/4 mixed tennis team who won their tournament at Sir Stanley Mathews Sports Centre on 8th May and are now through to the county finals. You were all a credit to St Mary’s and showed great sportsmanship as always. Keep up the fantastic work!

We would like to thank all of the parents who took the time to attend our KS2 sports workshop on Friday 26th January; we hope you found it useful. The children had a fantastic time and enjoyed learning new games and tips to stay active with the help of their parents and grandparents. We hope that you will be able to easily continue some of these at home.

Year 5 and 6 football tournament.

We would like to say a huge well done to our year 5/6 mixed football team who represented St Mary’s at the EFL football tournament at Dimensions Leisure Centre on Thursday 25th January. The children had a great time playing against different schools and demonstrated great sportsmanship. They also got to meet some of their favourite Port Vale players. After a super effort, they won two of their four games and came 3rd in their group. Well done to everybody who participated; you were a credit to St Mary’s and showed some great football skills.

Well done to all of the children who competed at the high 5 netball tournament at Fenton Manor on January 9th. All of the children enjoyed themselves, gave 100% and their behaviour was outstanding as always. They also demonstrated their amazing sports skills by making it to the semi-finals where they were only narrowly beaten by 1 goal to 0. Well done everybody!
