On Tuesday 23rd March, the children at St Mary’s observed the National Day of Reflection. Throughout the day, we thought about all the people we had lost or missed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was also an opportunity for children to share their hopes as we begin to hope and pray for a lift in national restrictions. We shared a Liturgy, written and led by some of our Year 6 children.
Some pupils brought cards and flowers to display at the school gates. Each card or flower acted as a reminder for someone they were missing.
A beautiful day of memories and hope was shared by all.
