Chaplaincy Team

Welcome to St. Mary’s School Chaplaincy Team

Year 3 - Cerys-Jaine & Leon,

Year 4 – Jack & Julia,

Year 5 – Scarlett, Eden & James

and 6 children from Year 6 – Summer, Joe, Owen, Darcie, Santiago and Charlie.

Last year we focused on collecting a record of ‘Our Catholic Life’ and this year we are going one step further by challenging ourselves and all of our school and parish community to consider ‘So… WHY do we do what we do?’

We strive to do our best by…

helping the school to be a community of faith

encouraging the pupils to live out their faith in daily living

developing good relationships within and beyond the school community

supporting Liturgy, Mass and prayer and the spiritual life of the school

involving pupils in fundraising for charities

listening to each other’s ideas

communicating with all the team members, school and parish

including everyone when making decisions

We are led by the beautiful words of Saint Teresa of Avila when she wrote about personal calling. We would like to share them with you and ask that you reflect upon them and consider your daily calling to serve.

‘Christ has no body now but yours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours. Yours are the eyes through which he looks compassion on this world. Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good. Yours are the hands through which he blesses all the world. Yours are the hands, yours are the feet, yours are the eyes, you are his body. Christ has no body now on earth but yours.’
